Tell us a little bit about yourself and your company:
My life-long love affair with photography began with a christmas present when I was eight years old. I've had a camera in my hand ever since. I began shooting weddings for family & friends in 1994, and started my own business in 1999. I offer a mixture of photojournalistic & traditional style photographs. Although wedding photograpy is my "first-love", I also enjoy photographing individuals - expectant mothers & babies are my favorites!
When did you get started in the photography industry:
I started in the photography business in 1999 when I formed my company.
What advice would you offer a bride:
I would suggest that every bride interview at least five wedding photographers before making a decision on who
they are going to hire. Know what style the photographer uses. You won't want the "cookie-cutter" photographs, if you were expecting more of a photojournalistic approach.
What do you see in the future for your company:
I see myself going full-time with my business in the next nine months; sooner if my growth rate continues as it is doing at present.
Any advice for new wedding professionals:
Don't give up - it's slow getting your new business started, but will grow steadily. Keep working to perfect your craft - there is always something new to learn! I wish all new wedding professionals luck in their business venture.
